Presented by the PEI Federation of Agriculture

Presenter: Farmer Tim, Dairy Farmer and AGvocate

Intended Audience: Farmer, ag workers, ag business employees, Safety professionals, educators, and students.

Farming can be described in romantic terms by those who do not work on them. While families today will admit it is a one of a kind way of life, it does come with its own set of challenges. Learning how to deal with those challenges has lead Farmer Tim to become a very popular AGvocate.

Building a Sustainable Farmer webinar “Farmer Welfare” with well known social media AGvocate Farmer Tim is all about sharing the importance of you, the Farmer. A dairy farmer himself, Farmer Tim will walk everyone through a day in the life of todays modern farmer and correct some misconceptions about agriculture that will have you laughing at yourself while learning valuable lessons on what it takes to make it in today’s agricultural sector.

With over 66,000 followers on social media sites, tune in to hear how Farmer Welfare is an often ignored topic of conversation and learn how this farmer is doing his best to encourage society and farmers to take better care of this very valuable resource.

Learning objectives

  1. Participants will learn about the impacts of ignoring your mental health.
  2. Participants will learn how using social media has helped change the way society views the agricultural industry.
  3. Participants will learn how important each and every Farmer is to the continued success of Canadian Agriculture.
