On June 13, 2022 Nova Scotia updated its workplace first aid requirements to reflect the latest regulations from the Canadian Standards Association (CSA). These will affect farms and agricultural workplaces across the province. Most of the changes are around the size, number and contents of First Aid Kits as well as the number and training level of First Aiders per work shift. Changes are based on the numbers of workers per shift and the distance from emergency care facilities. Have a look at this First Aid Fact Sheet for an overview of the changes.
