Safety days
Farm Safety Nova Scotia presents Progressive Agriculture Safety days to provide the opportunity for children, youth, and families to learn about farm safety through hands-on activities.
Supported by the Progressive Agriculture Safety Foundation, these workshop-style days are held in the spring and fall. They are usually scheduled on a school in-service day in the host region.
Groups of participants rotate through a series of stations, led by experienced presenters, completing safety-related activities. Lunch, snacks and drinks are provided. Each participant goes home with increased safety knowledge, a t-shirt and a take-home bag of goodies and resources to share with families.
The next Progressive Agriculture Safety Day will be held on Friday, October 24 at the Three Mile Plains Hall in Windsor.
