Farm Safety Nova Scotia commends all first responders in Great Village Rescue

Farm Safety Nova Scotia would like to recognize the quick action and rescue efforts of the first responders in Monday’s Great Village grain elevator incident. Farm Safety Nova Scotia commends all first responders for working together to ensure a safe and successful rescue. Three of four of the emergency response teams on scene participated in a Grain Bin Entry and Technical Rescue Course hosted by Farm Safety Nova Scotia in September. Through continued training and awareness on-farm accidents in Canada have steadily declined in the past three decades.
