Rural Watch: Because No Farmer Stands Alone

Looking for a valuable professional development opportunity that can make a real difference in your community? Or maybe you just wish you had a few more tools in your toolbox to be that trustworthy shoulder for your fellow farmers?
Rural Watch: Because No Farmer Stands Alone, designed and delivered by the National Farmer Mental Health Alliance, equips participants with practical skills and knowledge to support farmers and rural neighbours during challenging times. Through interactive case studies and hands-on strategies, you’ll learn how to recognize early signs of stress, respond in a supportive way, and provide meaningful help when it’s needed most.
Many farmers feel most comfortable confiding in someone who understands rural life—often a fellow farmer or a trusted industry professional. This training gives you the tools to be that “first voice” who can notice when something might be wrong and respond effectively.
This full-day session is divided into three interactive modules and is ideal for farmers, crop specialists, feed salespeople, veterinarians, and anyone and everyone working in the agricultural community who wants to enhance their professional skills while supporting their peers.
With the tools you gain in Rural Watch, you could be the person who connects someone with the resources they need or even helps prevent a crisis before it happens.
