Presenter: Krista Campbell, M.Sc., Aud(c), Audiologist & Owner of Campbell Hearing

Intended Audience: Farmer, ag workers, ag business employees, Safety professionals, educators, and students. Tractors and machinery have traditionally been a leading cause of hearing loss and tinnitus (ringing in the ears) on and around farms and ranches.

Building a Sustainable Farmer webinar will cover the basic hazards associated with agricultural tractors and machinery and how to prevent injuries from these hazards. The impacts of hearing loss and tinnitus on physical and mental well-being will be covered, along with the treatments and technologies being used to aid the farmer in maintaining healthy hearing.

Learning objectives

  1. Participants will understand the hearing hazards associated agricultural tractors and machinery.
  2. Participants will learn ways to reduce the hearing hazards associated agricultural tractors and machinery.
  3. Participants will learn what resources are available to protect your hearing, to manage both hearing loss and tinnitus, and learn how hearing safety is an integral component of a successful farm.
