FATIGUE ON THE FARM: QUALITY SLEEP, THE IMPORTANCE OF IT AND HOW IT AFFECTS YOUR LIFE.

Presenter: Maureen MacPhee, Registered Respiratory Therapist, The Snore Shop

Intended Audience: Farmer, ag workers, ag business employees, Safety professionals, educators, and students.

Long, hard, physical hours are required to successfully run a farm especially during harvest season but if you are not getting enough sleep you can be fatigue impaired. Good sleep leads to good health and there are many conditions that can interfere with you and that perfect nights rest.

Building a Sustainable Farmer webinar featuring Maureen MacPhee, a Registered Respiratory Therapist from The Snore Shop will help you understand the leading causes of Sleep Disordered Breathing and help you understand the options available to you so that you are no longer sleeping impaired.

Learning objectives

  1. Participants will understand how to identify, manage and deal sleeping problems such as Sleep Disordered Breathing (SBD).
  2. Participants will learn what factors affect the quality and quantity of sleep as well as the health consequences of poor sleep.
  3. Participants will learn what resources are available to help you achieve a good, quality sleep.
