Ready.  Set.  Color.

Hey Kids, it is time to put crayon, coloring pencil or markers to the test and color your best farm safety picture.  The picture should include something safety related on the farm or doing something safe on the farm.  Feel free to draw your own picture or color one of ours.

Eligibility:

To enter the coloring contest, you need to be between the ages of 5 and 9 years old.  You must be a resident of Nova Scotia.  Your parents are not required to be a member of the Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture.  No purchase is necessary to enter.

Winning Categories:

Entries will be judged by the Farm Safety Nova Scotia and Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture staff.  Pictures will be judged based on the following categories and there will be one winner for each category:

  1. Creativity
  2. Coloring skill

Winners will be contacted by phone or e-mail.  Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

Prizes:

Choose one of the following: Family Pass to the Discovery Center; Family pass to Ross Farm Museum, Sports Basket or Outdoor play basket.

Deadline:

Contest start date is December 16, 2019.  Submissions must be received by 4:30 pm on January 31, 2020.  Entries can be dropped off or mailed to Farm Safety Nova Scotia or feel free to scan and email them to info@farmsafetyns.ca.

Restrictions:

Limit one entry per child. Use crayons, coloring pencils or markers.  The size of the picture must be at least 8.5” x 11” or larger.  The colored picture must be your own work of art, or a picture from Farm Safety Nova Scotia.

Personal Information:

Please include the following information on the back of your colored picture: first and last name, mailing address, phone number, and email address (can be yours or your parents) if you have one.

By participating, contest entrants: (1) represent that they have complied with these Official Contest Rules; (2) have received parental consent and grant Farm Safety Nova Scotia the right to use his or her name, town/city, province, and likeness, (3) release Farm Safety Nova Scotia from  all liability in connection with this Contest.  Farm Safety Nova Scotia is not responsible for lost, late or misdirected entries, or incomplete/incorrect entries.
